Did You Know You Might Own a Natural Gas Line?
customer piping
Mesa owns, operates and maintains the gas piping systems up to and including the meter outside homes and businesses.
Piping from the meter to every gas appliance, indoors and out, belongs to the property owner and is the owner’s responsibility to maintain, much like plumbing and electrical systems. This piping should periodically be checked for signs of leaks, corrosion and rust.
Contact a licensed professional for assistance if you suspect an unsafe condition and need repairs.
Remember, if you are planning a digging project, call Arizona 811 before you start, and be sure to hand dig when working near any buried piping.

Save Water, Save Money: Celebrate Fix a Leak Week
Fix a Leak Week
Did you know that silent leaks – like a running toilet – can waste thousands of gallons of water and drive up your bill? That’s why we’re celebrating Fix a Leak Week (March 17-23) to raise awareness about the significant amount of water wasted by common leaks like dripping faucets, leaky toilets and broken sprinkler heads.
We encourage you to take action. Not sure where to start? Visit our webpage, *Save Water Indoors and Out [ https://www.mesaaz.gov/Environment-Sustainability/Water-Conservation/Save-Water-Indoors-and-Out?utm_medium=email&utm_source=govdelivery ]*, for a wealth of resources, including:
* Do-it-yourself videos on easy plumbing fixes.
* How to read your water meter to identify leaks.
* Step-by-step guides for tracking down leaks around your home.
* Fun activities for kids to learn about water conservation.
Together, we can make a big impact by finding and fixing leaks. Let’s save water – and money – one fixed leak at a time!
